Joseph Sale will join Paul. M. M. Cooper, author of River of Ink, in talking about publishing, self-publishing, writing and more. The talk will include a QA session at the end. Hosted by University of Birmingham society Writers’ Bloc on campus. 1st February. 5:00 – 7:00pm

Joseph Sale will do a special reading  of ‘The Yank is Coming’, a poem from James Sale’s new collection The Lyre Speaks True, at the Drawn From The Lyre launch event. Sue Kerr and Paul Cannon Harris will also be performing. There will be a chance to meet James Sale, and view an exhibition of artwork by Linda Sale to accompany the poetry of The Lyre Speaks True.  Hatchling Gallery, Christchurch, Bournemouth. 18th March 2:00 – 4:00 pm. 

 

 

 

Joseph Sale will deliver a two-part workshop: “The Cathedral of the Deep: What Gothic is and How to Write it”. In the first part of the workshop, you will explore the origins of Gothic, including Horace Walpole, right throught to modern horror, neo-noir, southern gothic and more; in the second part, you will be guided through the process of writing horror/Gothic fiction stories, crafting an architecturally elegant story structure and writing a beautiful opening.
