I offer a range of editorial services: from the humble proofread for grammatical errors or typographic mistakes, to fully fledged analysis, critique, and stylistic workshopping. Whether you want to dramatically improve your writing or simply need another pair of eyes to look at your manuscript to pick out those flaws which are invisible to an author, there’s an affordable option for you.

Alternatively, I can lend my services as a cover designer, providing you with a book cover that meets the dimensions and specifications you provide. You can check out some previous examples of my work on book covers at the bottom of the page.

A Little Information On The Process

If you are interested. Here’s some information on how it works:

1. Choose the type of editing service you would like. Email me the details of the manuscript you would like edited, including its word count, genre (or else subject in the case of non-fiction) and anything else you feel I may need to know.
2. I will calculate the price – providing you with a full breakdown via email. Once you have okayed the price and the level of service you would like, you can email me the manuscript. I require half of the payment prior to beginning the editing process. Payment is via PayPal or Bacs (online banking) transfer to my account. I will send you the details.
3. I will work on the edits. If the project is likely to take longer than 1 or 2 days I will give you a daily update on my progress (or less frequently if you don’t want to be badgered!).
4. I will send the edited manuscript back to you. The second half of the payment is due within 14 days of the manuscript’s return. In the case of a ‘Journeyman’ editing service, you may wish to query any edits I have made. You are more than welcome to do so and I will happily engage in a dialogue. I will not request the second half of the payment until any questions or amendments concerning the manuscript have been cleared up. In the case of a ‘Master’ editing service, there will be an ongoing dialogue concerning the work – including feedback and developmental writing coaching. This will mean that the second half of the payment will only be required after all the edits have been completed and you have confirmed you are happy with the manuscript.

Professionally written, creative 250 word pitch & marketing strap line for your novel/work of fiction. £35.00, reading time + 1 day

Research

Market comparison with similar novels/works of the same genre, examining how successful they were, including information on their publisher, their distribution and their critical response. In addition, analysis and advice will be offered on how your novel may fit into the market and where best to direct it. £35.00, reading time + 1 day

Cover Design

Cover design for self published manuscripts or as a way to make your novel pitch stand out. Publishers frequently request ideas for a potential cover from prospective writers. Please provide the dimensions you would like the cover to be. £30.00, 1 – 2 days

Poetry

A personalised poem on a subject, or for an occasion/event, of your choosing. Between 5 and 100 lines. £50.00, 3 days
